More children killed by guns in America highest in the world. Numbers of weapons loose on the streets incalculable because you know America can't count. Or even let us collect those records. Instead of addressing the article, you mentioned a bunch of other non related statistics (and forgot to include a source for any of them).

I couldn't find a good source for this, but a quick search found this wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate. If you sort by unintentional deaths per 100,000 population, the United States does have a higher unintentional death rate than many other first world countries (0.15 per 100,000), but when you divide that by the number of guns per capita it paints a very different picture regarding gun accidents.

Suicide rates in the US are similar to other countries the firearm happens to be an available tool, which I do agree is a problem but not one that will be solved by regulation.

I am not sure where you are getting this from. If you've ever taken firearms classes, concealed carry, or been to a gun range you would know that safety is taken very seriously.

Like the founding fathers, I am adamant about my right to defend myself and my family. The fourth amendment is the key protection of the bill of rights, and the reason you and I are able to converse freely, even about controversial topics. Plenty of dictators have used gun control or confiscation before committing genocide or other horrendous acts. You've got Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Castro, Mao, Pinochet, and many others. You complained earlier about the consequences of living in a police state, and yet you want those in power to be the only ones able to wield these weapons. You need to think this through a little more.
