That shit'll be cracked in a heartbeat, but my guess is most folks using smart tvs and/or other devices with proprietary media players that have non-disableable DRM likely wouldn't notice if DRM was installed. Even if they did, they probably wouldn't know how to apply a crack anyway.

You don't need a new technology to do this. Cryptographic signing is already a thing, and if you can run unsigned apps you already have the access you need to defeat any other DRM that might be present.
