person associated with the big sub we had to ban a few weeks ago, who was deliberately trying to shut that sub down because he didn't like the content

They also were constantly dragging discussion down the pyramid of debate, so ultimately we removed them because they were creating a liability for the site which is why we have the rules in the first place. We didn't really want them here anyway because they weren't really following the rules in the first place but I tried to accommodate them for 10 months to try and be nice, but ultimately they were a drain that created tons of work for admins and added very little value to the site, so it was a convenient time to let them go
