Tree Growing Out of Gigantic Rock ~ I saw this from a kayak while on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas. I was amazed that a tree could grow like this and if it grew from a seed, that it would germinate and grow out of a rock.

The crannies in the rocks have dirt in them. Eventually the tree will get too heavy and fall down the cliff, because there's not enough dirt to hold the roots of a large plant. That's why you only see really big trees up top or down below
