Looks like a great hike. Happy new year.

I actually wore a short-sleeve shirt on this 4-mile hike. It was a great start to 2023, but I believe this year is going to be very hard for most with wars, famine, disease, earthquakes, and other calamities.

I hope you will put your trust in the Lord, repent, and be saved. Today is the acceptable day to receive salvation.

And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams;
even on my male servants and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
And I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;
the sun shall be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood,
before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.
And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.

Amen. At first glance, I thought you wrote a poem! Then I was even more pleasantly surprised to see you quoting scriptures.

Acts 2:17-21 (Joel 2:28-32)

And you included one last verse (Deuteronomy 18:20): a warning to the false prophets. Here is a sign you have found a false prophet: He prophesies peace and safety, prosperity, and blessings, when the Lord did not tell him to speak this. A false prophet does not warn the people to repent, so they continue on the path that leads to destruction.

Example: Hananiah the prophet claimed that the Lord told him they would be liberated from their enemies within two years. But the opposite became true, as the people were put into hard bondage by the enemy.

Jeremiah, chapter 28

15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

17 So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.
