Thanx bby. Here's some more leg w/ blood after I took them out. Not sure that's the goal of modern acupuncture, like at all, but in its history it was a method of blood letting. I'm not doing chi meridian bullshit, I think there was a practical reason they used to do stuff like this.

bloodletting could be used to free the flow of chi

Damn...... after your ki flows you're gonna be firing kamehamehas after this.

I'm not entirely sure what that means, even after googling it, but it sounds dope. 😎

Damn, didn't you watch Dragon Ball Z as a young lad? According to Google, the first episode debuted in America when you were a teen. Thought that'd be something right up your alley. Haha.

We didn't have cable. I'm aware of the show but never seen anything more than clips.

Do you have a clue how to do acupuncture?

Omg, you could just quit drinking, ffs.

Do you have a clue how to do acupuncture?

Of course, I watched a YouTube video.

This is literally how I learn to do everything these days.

I hear surgeons use surgery vids to refresh their memory, or outright learn procedures before they do them. Works for fixing my car too.

That's actually reassuring, to know they refresh their memory before diving back in with a knife.

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/what-otzi-icemans-tattoos-reveal-about-copper-age-medical-practices-180970244/

"Previous studies of the Iceman’s tattoos have hypothesized that the lines and crosses etched into his skin offered therapeutic benefits rather than simply serving as decorative embellishments. As Ancient Origins’ April Holloway writes, the tattoos, which were created via small incisions traced with charcoal, align with “hard-working areas of the human body,” including the ankles, wrists, knees and lower back. These spots are commonly associated with acupuncture treatments, raising the possibility that Ötzi’s community knew of the practice some 2,000 years before it was believed to have first emerged in Asia."

Otzi! That's where I had originally gotten the idea I believe.

Ya know, another benefit I am thinking might actually just be keeping my leg still with needles in it. I'm a fidgety guy, always moving something, even when sleeping. It occurs to me the constant movement might just be aggravating things.

Mostly still anyways, I was walking around and I think I'm short a needle. Can't find it. Wifie is not pleased there might be a sharp needle in the carpet somewhere. Gonna borrow a strong magnet later, see if that helps uncover it.

It may be inside you.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Haha, I'd notice that. They only go in a little over a quarter inch where I'm doing it, it's right by bone.

Melody suggested vacuuming, that sounds easier than carpet fishing with a magnet.
