I knew Indy would come through with the leg compliments :)

It's what I do!

Thanx bby. Here's some more leg w/ blood after I took them out. Not sure that's the goal of modern acupuncture, like at all, but in its history it was a method of blood letting. I'm not doing chi meridian bullshit, I think there was a practical reason they used to do stuff like this.

[–]IndianaJones 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (12 children)

bloodletting could be used to free the flow of chi

Damn...... after your ki flows you're gonna be firing kamehamehas after this.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (11 children)

I'm not entirely sure what that means, even after googling it, but it sounds dope. 😎

Damn, didn't you watch Dragon Ball Z as a young lad? According to Google, the first episode debuted in America when you were a teen. Thought that'd be something right up your alley. Haha.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

We didn't have cable. I'm aware of the show but never seen anything more than clips.

Do you have a clue how to do acupuncture?

Omg, you could just quit drinking, ffs.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Perhaps Muskrat can practice on you

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Do you have a clue how to do acupuncture?

Of course, I watched a YouTube video.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

This is literally how I learn to do everything these days.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I hear surgeons use surgery vids to refresh their memory, or outright learn procedures before they do them. Works for fixing my car too.

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/what-otzi-icemans-tattoos-reveal-about-copper-age-medical-practices-180970244/

"Previous studies of the Iceman’s tattoos have hypothesized that the lines and crosses etched into his skin offered therapeutic benefits rather than simply serving as decorative embellishments. As Ancient Origins’ April Holloway writes, the tattoos, which were created via small incisions traced with charcoal, align with “hard-working areas of the human body,” including the ankles, wrists, knees and lower back. These spots are commonly associated with acupuncture treatments, raising the possibility that Ötzi’s community knew of the practice some 2,000 years before it was believed to have first emerged in Asia."

Otzi! That's where I had originally gotten the idea I believe.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Ya know, another benefit I am thinking might actually just be keeping my leg still with needles in it. I'm a fidgety guy, always moving something, even when sleeping. It occurs to me the constant movement might just be aggravating things.

Mostly still anyways, I was walking around and I think I'm short a needle. Can't find it. Wifie is not pleased there might be a sharp needle in the carpet somewhere. Gonna borrow a strong magnet later, see if that helps uncover it.

[–]Zapped 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

It may be inside you.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Haha, I'd notice that. They only go in a little over a quarter inch where I'm doing it, it's right by bone.

Melody suggested vacuuming, that sounds easier than carpet fishing with a magnet.

Acupuncture is a hoax that produces a placebo effect.

[–]IndianaJones 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (14 children)

Could you punch me?

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I think chickenz just needs a hug.

[–]IndianaJones 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (7 children)

You are acting quite African-American at the moment. Why don't we hug like civil white men?

[–]chickenz 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (6 children)

I am so pasty white, it ain't funny, but I have never been racist.. if I ever using my dry humor should make racist comments, I am only mocking racist people.

There are good and bad and smart and dumb and beautiful and ugly in all races.

But I am really bored with this LGBT tranny bullshit.

I am preparing my grave as I write this.. my time is near.

[–]IndianaJones 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (5 children)

You can still be African-American while being pasty white. Source:

If you have a soul you are white. If you don't you aren't.

It has nothing to do with skin color. Black people who have souls like Jazz Musicians are white like you see in the Pixar movie soulful world. Since all souls are white. Gingers have white skin but don't have souls because they are vampires.

Why did the chicken cross the road? To bully HKP for no reason. You are white, yet you have the soul of an African-American. So c'mon mac! Don't be like that! Subdue your primate behaviour and I might reward you with belly rubs and bananas.

But I am really bored with this LGBT tranny bullshit.

At least we have that in common. For that reason, we are brothers. We are in this together. I like you, chickenz, even if you do exhibit African-American behaviour. Not everyone is perfect after all. I also like how you reply to the wrong people all the time with big and intimidating bold letters, it's a good gimmick. I should add that to my routine.

if I ever using my dry humor should make racist comments, I am only mocking racist people.

If a racist person asked you for a hug, would you say yes?

[–]chickenz 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (4 children)

That's just adorable ☺️

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Traditional chinese acupuncture is bullshit. It's based on the idea there are chi meridian lines flowing through the body, and it's all very contrived. Then there's dry needling, which targets myofascial trigger points, which do exist, but whether sticking a needle in them helps, idk.

But I suspect there's a reason why this practice has been around so very long. Irritation can promote healing. I use biofeedback to find points on my knee, they feel as if I could drill a hole through everything would feel a whole lot better. It's a weird feeling. Needle goes in those points.

So far it actually does seem to help. I won't really know until it rains, or even rains a few times and things act up.

[–]Zapped 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It may have something to do with the nerves. You know how when you get hit with something and you rub your skin and it helps the pain. It's because your nerves can carry only so much feedback. Rubbing your skin stimulates the nerve so the pain doesn't get through to your brain.
