Sunflowers are great. I used to know their latin name, but I will say that they can be invasive. Especially the ones that are grown for food in non-desert will grow so many bulbs and then just resprout the next year. They also grow so tall, they are so fun! I had one type of jerusalem artichoke one year that had such a pretty dark red flower, but I was never able to determine which variety it was :(
