    What circumstance brought you to the military?

    I was drafted at 18.

    Having had the experience would you say you are a better man than you otherwise might have been or were you diminished by it?

    No, I was planning on going to uni. I ended up with social phobia, alcoholism and a few other problems.

    Did killing people change the fabric of your being or was it a natural instinct?

    The Military generally speaking tears down your brain so they can rebuild it the way they want, killing is not a natural instinct in normal people but I don't have empathy for others.

      For years I though I was the only one with problems, my ex made me go to a therapist and I saw so many others with the same problems. In 1998 we traveled to Vietnam and that was what really helped, therapist called it closure but either way it helped.

      Yes, something changed and viet vets are never quite the same. For example I live about 3 miles from Disneyland, every night at 9 they set off fireworks and without music or a fan near buy I panic. 4th of July is another event I avoid.
