Magnetic weapons would come in handy here against the CCP.

Are these powered? They look like unpowered springy legs, maybe with something to connect the weight of the pack more directly to the exoskeleton, bypassing the user's back, etc. That would be sensible. Besides EMPs, keeping an exoskeleton charged might be a pain.

A nuke high in the atmosphere = electromagnetic pulse, not at all like the pure fiction in the movies.
In my story, 3rd scene of Act 1, the protagonist's disabled father-in-law wears a shitty exoskeleton, facing off with police in their fancy warrior exo-suits.
Those are neat and much smaller than I'd imagined. They almost look like they're just spring-loaded aids or something, potentially plastic. Interesting.

Exoskeleton? More like knee protectors, look at the terrain they are on. I wore wore something similar dirt-biking, and some only have them on one leg so that suggests to me they are for kneeling rapidly in the rocky terrain so they can fire at enemies. Stupid website doesn't even offer an explanation.

Those look like knee braces. Unless china invented battery technology that far surpasses anything we have ever seen exosuits are basically useless. They would honestly be better off issuing everyone a hand truck. But in theory the knee braces could reduce knee joint wear. Good for them, but not really something to be concerned about.

Probably they were developed in the US and sold over to China. Like the other advanced weaponry (drones, stealth-fighters).

Impressive, and the PLA is obviously happy for this to be in all the papers: two examples here:
