If you study up there are a number of wild creatures on God's Earth that have both self-awareness and can and will hold a grudge. Elephants, Dogs, Apes, Monkey and Siberian Tigers (and many more) are all of them well-known to hunt down to injure or kill any human who have done them wrong and I suppose that is their prerogative for any human fool enough to fuck with them.
