I do have some experience, as the founder of /r/The_Cabal and a former moderator of several decently-sized subreddits.

But that is largely irrelevant, since about half a year ago the owner of saidit made a post basically saying "who wants to be an admin?". Anyone who he thought he could trust was made one, so most people who were active on the site at that time became admins.

Anymore though, I'm the only one who's really around. So if it weren't for me saidit could get shut down like Kiwi Farms, and it would be full of spam.

I have been, but that is not actually up to me as I am not the owner. There were a lot more admins around until recently, and they didn't ban him either.

If it were up to me though, I wouldn't ban him. Even if he's being "annoying", he is a real user, and isn't simply spamming the exact same thing over and over in giant bold letters.

    This site has all of the basic infrastructure to become a booming nice site, but there are a few issues..

    1) suck ass management.

    /u/usehername has installed herself as the "owner" of the chat and she bans me and others regularly. She thinks the chat is a hangout that is exclusively for her personal buddies.

    2) /u/hongkongphooey thinks he is providing some kind of a value added service by posting pure shit stories that are not relevant at all to the current social or economic or political situations.

    And I have had hongkongphooey stalk me making inappropriate comments about how he is going to make me service him and that I am going to like it.

    In short, the site is managed by kids.
