I was awaiting an expensive package from Amazon via USPS which according to the tracking said it would be delivered today at my front door by 9pm. But at 9pm there was still no package outside my front door. So I checked the tracking status online and it said it had been "forwarded" to another address. This made no sense to me, because even though I am a new resident here, I had updated my address with the USPS weeks ago, so that they would forward mail TO my current address, not away from it.
I checked my mailbox today and I see a green piece of paper which said "vacant". I checked the mail last week and there was a bunch of mail from the last tenant. So I put their mail in the outbox. I guess this must have somehow, nonsensically, triggered the mailman to think my apartment is vacant. Hence why they put the green piece of paper in my mailbox. And then because there was this stupid green piece of paper in my mailbox, they for some reason forwarded my package to another address.
If I had ordered from UPS or FedEx they would have just delivered the package to my front door as I requested. But since it was USPS which has access to mailbox, they were able to play these stupid games with the green piece of paper which led them to conclude that my apartment is vacant. God I hate this so much.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
