Unitarian Universalism

This is a sect of Christianity that emphasizes the oneness of God. I believe they originally grew out of Puritanism, which was a very conservative sect. But ironically today they are all liberals (they might be the most liberal sect of Christianity today). Why?

The Universalism part is also very specific. Unitarian denotes only a rejection of the trinity. Universalist is the idea that everything is God, usually in a very new-agey toxic postitivity way. This probably encourages collectivism and the idea that everything is ultimately good, we just have to have a "positive attitude".

It's been argued that the Puritans and other ultra-Pharisee style denominations were the original SJWs. If you look beyond their stances you can clearly see it's all the same tactics.

I have seen this sect act independently from church to church. For example: Baptist, Methodist, and Episcopalian all have to answer to a regional and national order. Also, Unitarian is sometimes confused with the Unity Church. The Unitarian Church near me is at least half gay/lesbian and very involved in political activism.
