Many anti-vaxxers consider it a victory when states ban vaccine mandates. In fact, I only have my new job because vaccine mandates were banned in the area.
But don't these laws take away employers' rights? I have heard this logic used to argue against bans on racial discrimination. It is said that employees should be allowed to discriminate against whoever they want. If the discrimination is truly unjust, the free market will take care of everything: Companies that unjustly discriminate will go bankrupt due to lack of talent, whereas companies that are impartial in their selection process will take all the talent and thrive. Can't the same reasoning be applied to vaccine mandates?
