Rumble is a publicly traded republican platform paying creators to come aboard. They explicitly ban racism. BitChute censors. It all depends on what you want I guess.

Given that YouTube seems unusable

Why does YouTube seem unusable?

Other than the censorship it flags supposed copyright violations when I think it shouldn't and doesn't seem to allow organic growth any more.

I'm just a filthy user, but I don't like watching stuff on bitchute or Rumble. Actually kind of avoid it. Now I don't watch a lot of YT either, but it's just more convenient when I do want to watch a video. Faster, used to the interface, and it's easy to skip around.

Also, there's lots of crap on those alternatives, being on there is sort of a psychological mark against it.

Yes, they are not as good as YT for the equivalent of surfing the channels. It would be could if someone could create a site linking all video sites together. As to the crap to good stuff ratio, I would have thought the alternatives were a little better.
