Cool post but this food combining diet seems pretty radical and unsubstantiated. But hey you got me searching for health. https://www.verywellfit.com/combination-diet-for-weight-loss-4156226

The Diet: Three principles - Paleo/Carnivore diet, food combining diet and water fasting. Just google them. No processed crap or trans fats obviously.

The weight comes back if you go back to your original eating habits, I think it's better for people to understand CICO and some basic nutritional information for long term weight management. The new diet you eat has to be a forever diet if the weight loss is going to stick.

So don't go back to your original eating habits. CICO is true as far as it goes but misses the point. An understanding of the three principles mentioned will be enough to maintain a good weight forever.

Yeah if you eat paleo or carny forever. I ate a lot of lean meats for a year on my own diet, it was awesome at first, gets pretty old. And there's no need to miss out on awesome food. Except maybe french fries...

The combination of generally eating paleo/carny, generally not combining incompatible foods in the same meal and doing the odd water fast should see you right. No need to be perfect all the time or overly puritanical about it. BTW, fatty meat is probably healthier than lean meat.

Yeah, there's a schism about that. The sugar-high fat-free diet is shitty. High fat though... Fat is calorically dense. And the no sugar no fat options taste like shit.

Also, ever notice Atkins makes people's skin grey?
