Recently, Youtube changed their site so that the number of dislikes was no longer publicly visible. However, this is only true if you browse Youtube while logged into your Youtube/Google account. If you simply log out of your account or browse Youtube in an incognito window, you can still see the number of dislikes on videos.
I am not sure why Youtube decided to do such a set up. One possibility is that the people who work at Youtube are simply incompetent morons who don't know how to properly design a website. Another possibility is that the evil people at Youtube know that certain people won't ever trust Youtube, and those people won't be logged into their Youtube/Google account most of the time. Youtube only needs to manipulate the opinion of the dumb normies, and those people will never log out of their accounts.
