I've heard that humans today have much less DNA than what they had in the past? Makes me think that Lamarck was much more on point than Darwin... I believe the Ancient Sumerians were a very advanced race of humans with bullshit technology.

Though Darwin is used much more than Wallace, Lamarck and others because Darwin was able to show that a key role in evolution is competition (as opposed to the environment, values of physical traits &c as key roles).

Sadly, it's not sexy - nor does it pay well - to be smart, unless you're pretty, or wealthy, or drink Brawndo.

It isn't sexy but it can pay well when you compete with the system. Like when I found a blackhat trick that google didn't figure out for about a year.

Is the brain becoming simpler a sign that it is becoming less capable?

It has been known for a long time that domesticating animals cases them to get smaller, including their brains.
