Yep, they do want gun control and confiscation. If they can undermine the 2nd amendment, its a step towards making us powerless to resist an authoritarian government. This is the whole point of the 2nd amendment, and why the founders put it there. The logical progression of this authoritarian leftist ideology is communism and one-world government. I'm glad to see the recent push-back on the European Union and Communist China.
