Living in a police state changes everything.

The US has become so bad that Americans may wonder if they should avoid playing the lottery because winning means the government will get tax money.

Tyranny really is insidious. No wonder Russians didn't have kids in the USSR. What kind of life is this?

Americans are living in the Dark Ages with a king now. The government can wiretap, torture, extrajudicially assassinate, torture, and indefinitely detain you. Soon juries will probably be outlawed.

You have no rights.

Americans need to start looking for loopholes to every law, dropout, and stay under the radar.

Americans might be able to avoid paying taxes by living with a rich foreigner in a place like Japan or South Korea. If you avoid marrying and working, your girlfriend won't need to worry about FBAR or FATCA or paying US income taxes. You will need to examine your moral code about possibly violating cohabitation laws, though.

Life has become a bowl of bad choices.

Even if you're not stealing or killing, everyone is a criminal now. The Gestapo can always charge you with obstructing justice, racketeering, conspiracy, or resisting arrest.

How can Americans sleep at night now?
