Americans used to have balls.

The US is supposed to be a free country.

Why did the USA fight for freedom against the British, Hitler, North Korea, and Saddam if America just ended up as a police state? All those American soldiers died in vain.

Americans who defend tyranny are traitors.

Americans who would prefer to live in a police state rather than be responsible are cowards.

Those who defend tyranny are so disturbing that they are willing to betray the US must be trolls or foreigners.

How can Americans sleep at night while the USA collapses?

I think many buy the narrative that Americans are the good guys, without question. Naivete, gullibility, and distraction help keep it in place. If you don't know the diamond you bought is a fake, you don't worry about it.

I'm an American, and since I've started looking behind the curtain and realizing I've been duped, I'm trying to at least get at some truth and get people talking about it. I would lose sleep if I knew some truth and did nothing. I feel there are many Americans who would do the right thing if they knew more.
