They should bring back real gladiators so the public can see real blood and guts. There are so many crazies out there, some people would volunteer. It's the end-of-a-country's-era thing to do.

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Money is fungible. Subsidizing the NFL in no way increases total economic activity, it merely redistributes wealth to the owners.
