The heck??

Why would they use airsoft guns? Those things hurt. Why shoot anything at them?

Yeah my AEG FN P90 leaves welts at range. I had my friend shoot me with it first so I'd understand what they were going to feel.

Eye protection and heavy clothing, no questions.

Doing that with unexpecting and unprepared teachers is just cruel.

Probably because the only people attracted to the job are usually only one of two types of people:

1) People who are willing to risk their lives to protect their community

2) People attracted to power, badges and guns - your typical highschool bully.

The bullies are definitely the majority and almost certain are the ones who plan and execute these kinds of "drills" - they want to have fun with their authority, geez, why is that such a problem!? /s

During active shooter drill, four teachers at a time were taken into a room, told to crouch down and were shot execution style with some sort of projectiles — resulting in injuries to the extent that welts appeared, and blood was drawn

...how is this helpful?
