Translation: "We're going to start collecting so much data about every single person that the old Carnivore and Echelon systems will seem like one old deaf guy with a notepad, but we're going to pretend it is for AI."

Meanwhile, China has just released an open source AI system DeepSeek that beats OpenAI at just 5% of the cost.

Yep - state sponsored AI is often for control, and much of it inaccessible to us, whereas privately-owned AI has been for marketing and business-related activities, at places like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. Moreover, the National Science Foundation already runs the National AI Research Institutes Program, which is the nation's largest AI research ecosystem. Trump's announcement indicates there could be a duplicate program, or that Stargate would be part of the NSF. Many Trump voters are likely unaware of the NSF's NAIRI.

If you think that the corporations like Google, Microsoft, Facebook etc aren't in bed with the US government, you must have just arrived on this planet from a distant galaxy.

Oh wake up. Musk obviously wants a piece of the AI pie (and much more), and is using Trump to get it, unconstitutionally.

    Well obviously.

and is using Trump to get it, unconstitutionally.

I don't think the American Constitution says anything about AI. It certainly doesn't prohibit the US government partnering with private corporations. That's how the government gets away with doing all sorts of unconstitutional or unpopular things.

Can't censor people talking about Hunter's laptop or the election anomalies in 2020? That's okay bro, Facebook and Google have you covered.

In order to discuss the US government, you should know about it. The only person with access to all Treasury data must be confirmed by the US Senate. Musk and DOGE were not confirmed. They now have all of that data on a private server and have been forcing people out of the Treasury and much more. That is not consititutional.
