Almost as if someone is using a weather machine... This is an extremely odd hurricane and is going to hit the same area where all the debris from the last one is just laying around because FEMA blocked cleanup efforts.

Almost as if someone is using a weather machine

Kind of. The heat in the sea surface of the Gulf of Mexico provided the energy for Milton to grow in power so rapidly.

So this is global warming in action.

because FEMA blocked cleanup efforts.

Don't believe all the republican propaganda you read. Especially close to an election. They're not above leveraging a disaster to work in some disinformation.

Misinformation has surged following Hurricane Helene. Here's a fact check.

I've got to kind of agree with ActuallyNot on this one, though it pains me to do so. 😄 I'm less inclined to believe that there are nefarious weather machines at work, but far more inclined to connect the dots that changing (and more extreme) weather patterns do indeed highlight the cracks in the system when it comes to governmental response to the aftermath, as we're seeing in the areas that were hit by the last one. Added to that, I think we're also seeing that it is a snapshot the deep frustration (despondency, even) that's pervading a good chunk of American society with what the government's priorities are at this point in time.

Anyhow, to anybody who's in the path of this, I give you my best wishes for your safety.

The weather is not more extreme.

I see your hand and raise you this.

"Here's a fact check."..... that is leftist terminology, fuck off with your propaganda.

Indeed, misinformation campaigns caused numerous problems for FEMA, so much that they've had to divert time and resources to debunking the misinformation, rather than doing their usual jobs. The sources of this disinformation are wealthy contributors to Republican-leaning influencer companies. I'd argue, 'don't believe any republican'.

The series was banned by the federal government. It got too close to the truth.

When I see cars under water after a hurricane I have zero sympathy for the lazy shits that didn't bother to get out in time.

Some of those goobers are dirt poor and can't afford skip town, and/or can't give up their shifts at McDonalds, and/or decide to rely on the 'thoughts and prayers' they've received from your church.

God does not need any help from a political party. I'm wondering how much damage Disney's "magic kingdom" will get in Orlando. Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world." So, it's the kingdoms of the world against the kingdom of God. All political parties are of the world.

Milton wrote paradise lost which was about the biblical fall of man. That past hurricane Helene, named for Hell.

Good observation.

John Milton wrote "Paradise Lost," an epic poem published in 1667, which explores the biblical story of the Fall of Man. The poem delves into themes of temptation, free will, and redemption, focusing on Adam and Eve and their disobedience to God, which leads to their expulsion from the Garden of Eden.

Did you know that hell was not created by God? He created the heavens and the earth, but not hell. I guess man made hell for himself.

Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee....

Yeah hell not mentioned in the Bible. It's some symbolism the elites like to use to scare us tho.

There is hel in Norse paganism. And Hellenism infected Judaism and Christianity.

The Bible does talk about hell, specifically God being the one who can rescue us from it. But God is not the creator of hell. Man makes a real hell for himself through his evil thoughts, words, and actions.

Jesus went to hell after the Jews and Romans executed him and preached to the souls there also. He alone has the power to save us from hell. He is the Lord of heaven and earth, but not the Lord of hell. He bought us from the lord of that kingdom with his own blood, so we can be redeemed from this fallen world and the even worse hell beneath.

"For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell." Psalms 86:13 KJV

Where Jesus went to save souls:

"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Matthew 12:40 KJV
