i remember thinking it was surprising they gave her a job in the returning sitcom, I thought she had been blackballed for years because she said controversial stuff. Guess they were desperate for ratings but then decided they weren't that desperate, or thought they could get ratings with a roseanne show with her not in it.

Rosanne owns the rights to her name and the show bearing her name. She wouldn't allow them to renew it without her starring.

good point I just meant how they made the Conners thinking it would have the same high ratings
