I knew an older lady originally from Jamaica who was one of the most openly racist people I've ever known. HATED American black people. Gave me the impression that this was a common view to have among Jamaicans.

I've known a few black Caribbean people. Lots of tensions between them and the American blacks. Not surprised though as their culture is entirely different. It's utterly stupid to lump them in the same group, it's just assuming that they are similar due to skin color.

Black American culture is pretty fucked. But it's funny when they say things that offend the sensibilities of people abroad. Heard from quite a few Black Brits about humorous situations where an American starts calling them African Americans then gets offended when the Brits tell em off.
