I've met a few ex-Zimbabwe farmers. Not what we would call white, all mixed race.

They are the nicest people and very honest and hardworking. They will never go back though as they are terrified of what might happen to them. They are true refugees, they know that a mob could come and kill them for no reason at any moment if they live in their own country.

If they really want people to return they have to change society to remove that fear.

Africa is fucked. Corruption, rape culture, poverty. Death penalty for gay people in some regions even (no matter your religion convictions death penalty is way too harsh for something like this).

I'm not gonna say we should send some competent white people there to fix some things... but damn it would help.
