I think science education was supposed to do that. The scientific method and all.

Also the buddha said "Do not trust anything, even if I say it. Verify it and test it for yourself."

So that idea is definitely out there, but I agree it could use some bolstering in the popular culture.

And when science itself failed to do this - science fiction attempted to fill the gap - until that too, was infected by the mind virus known as corruption and evil.

The time of spirituality comes back, full circle, waiting for the birth of a new group that will serve as the defender of rationality and freedom.

I've been saying this for years. Start a tax exempt Trutherism church, a Truther Party, etc.

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think.

A secret society. A real "illuminati"

The problem with a "Good" secret society, is that by the very nature of good and evil, evil can infiltrate the good organization with impunity - while a good person doing the rites of evil as a spy, will become tainted in at least some small way and/or be found out easily.

Good cannot and does not need to hide, I feel any organization like this should do it with fancy logos and "neighbourhood watch" signs and stickers on shop windows, it should have the moral authority in the public space, with it's eye ever watchful, while evil remains in the shadows.

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, and intolerable.

The elites have turned everyone into criminals, liars, hypocrites, and cowards.

The only good thing about living in a police state is that no one can take the moral high ground on anything.
