Doesn't this speak to some mental health issues? And if so, shouldn't those be sorted out before someone begins transitioning? I thought there was some vetting to make sure that gender dysmorphia was the actual issue before beginning the process?

It does speak to poor mental health. Sadly the mental health profession has been captured by troons and the ONLY acceptable therapy is "affirmative" as u/tiny-brown-mug mentions

I think this used to be the case. The problem is, that now everything is "gender dysphoria".

Hate your developing body? Gender dysphoria. Always wondered what it would be like to be the opposite sex? Gender dysphoria. Are you a girl who sort of dresses like a dude and wants a pickup truck for your 18th birthday? Gender dysphoria.

And the treatment, instead of unpacking things like childhood abuse, sexual trauma, loneliness, or social awkwardness seems to be "here's your hormones and your surgery!". It's sad. I have also noticed that a lot of contemporary MTF dudes (yes, they're dudes) seem to be absolutely obsessed with women, lesbianism, and sex. This points to something closer to a fetish or a fixation, not genuine gender dysphoria.

The whole shebang is a social construct, anyway.

This guy is just a mish-mash of erratic, illegal, attention-seeking, crazy behavior. Oh, wow. I don't think a regular man with a rap sheet that long would still be allowed to run for much of anything.
