I thought we were supposed to use the "wrong pronouns" now. Make your minds up!

Really glad 'The Daily Heil' reported this, as we may never have known about this comment.

Me too, I'm glad somebody is at least reporting on the extreme and disturbing rhetoric of the trans community. Until the average liberal is aware of the toxicity of this community, we can't have enough of these articles

      Sieg Heil

But aren't the Nazi's really the people demanding I not just tolerate them, but I must accept their gender ideology and acknowledge it is true, like the guy in 1984 who has to say 2+2=5?

I am not anti-trans by any mean, but I'm not OK with the rhetoric coming from them

      A woman is a human without a Y chromosome, and I shouldn't have to pretend I don't believe that

especially for kids under 18, perhaps with the exclusion that adults can do whatever they want to their bodies

I am in 100% agreement here. If a kid can't be trusted to smoke cigarettes or drink a beer, they cannot have permanent gender surgery either. Adults should be able to do whatever the fuck they want with their own bodies as long as it doesnt infringe on anyone elses rights

I think the Rhode Island lady's opinion is unimportant.

It is. To me whats important is that this is not an uncommon viewpoint in this community. The trans people also say Dave Chappelle telling jokes about them is tantamount to physical violence. I don't like these zealotty people, to me they are just like the Christians they despise. Trying to censor everyone and demand other people conform to their ideology. It's not even about the transness to me, idgaf about that.

Kinda as a general idea, I agree that adults should have the freedom to do what they want and that the government should take a more hands off approach towards interventions but, it's not so clear cut as we get to the problem with insane people trying to harm themselves. They really can't consent to self-destructive activities as these inclinations are the result of mental Illness, and there is also some element of social contagion as well which does start to effect other people.

Consider extreme cases, suicide? Do people have the "right" to end their own life? The ability to do so certainly cannot be effectively stopped by anyone, but does that mean they should have the right to do so legally? I think not. And I think interventions in the case of suicide are justified. As it can be said that anyone who wishes to kill themselves is insane and cannot consent to kill themselves, with only a few edge cases where circumstances make the decision justifiable.

Let's consider other manifestations of self harm as well, there are people who will self amputate healthy limbs or gouge out their own eyes or whatever, should they be "allowed to do so"? Should doctors be able to provide elective amputation procedures? Again I think not. Even though we can't effectively stop a person from going crazy and doing it themselves, we shouldn't be encouraging or "allowing" it to happen. After all the adult that thinks there arm is possessed by a demon and then tries to remove it is insane and not capable of making rational decisions, and it's only in edge cases of extreme injury and the like where amputation is a preferable alternative to death and the decision sane.

So let's consider that in light of the trans issue. Someone believes that their "soul" is the opposite gender and therefore needs to remove their sex organs. This is clearly insanity, clearly precludes the individuals ability to consent to such procedures. And it's really only the edge cases of weird intersex conditions where there's a good argument for it.

So should adults merely be given the choice to do whatever they want regardless of the consequences to themselves and society even if such choices don't have an immediate harm towards others? I must admit I find this idea of adult choice to be wholly unbalanced in our society, we say people should have the right to get whatever tattoos or piercings or whatever they want, I "agree" in the sense that we shouldn't have laws preventing that specifically, but on the other side of the coin, say I don't want to see tattoos or piercings or whatever do I have the right to ban such things from my establishments? Legally the answer is likely yes, but socially speaking you'll see many of the same people crying for freedom get angry at the thought that others might decide to treat them differently because of their choices. Then there's the whole argument surrounding drugs and alcohol as well. I find it quite annoying that say, I can't enjoy a drink as a passenger in the car, or in a park or some other public place just because some people cannot act responsibly in such circumstances, yet that's how the law is in many places, I can't choose to allow smoking at my establishments if I wish because apparently bar patrons can't be asked to choose not to come if they don't wish to he exposed to second hand smoke.

This entire idea that adults can choose to do whatever they want isn't really an absolute in our society by any means and it tends to be applied in a very hypocritical manner by most including myself. I want the freedom to do the things I want but I want the freedom to stop other people from having the freedom to do the things they want.

Just because you can't understand someones choice doesn't mean they cannot consent. It doesn't really matter what you think, my body should not be your property or the property of society, it belongs to me. If I decide I want to chop off my dangly bits or kill myself, it is my body and life to do with as I please, and society has no business intervening unless another person's rights are infringed.

You disgust me and I hope someone takes your autonomy from you

It is an evil society that allows the mentally ill to kill themselves under the pretense of freedom. Such a society cannot be tolerated. Those that would stand by and do nothing and allow others to come to harm are little better than animals. Those involved in assisting the infirmed with their own demise, little better than demons.
