In the provinces of Naples, Caserta and Avellino, a joint operation between DIGOS, the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police, and the Postal and Communications Police Service led to the arrest of five people belonging to a terrorist association. The neo-Nazi, denier and supremacist association was called the "Order of Hagal" and was based in Marigliano (Naples).

The investigation began in 2019, with numerous interception services, telephone, environmental, IT capture, as well as observation, control and shadowing services by police personnel. These services have demonstrated the existence of an association which, through chats and various platforms, in particular Telegram, on the channel called "Protocol 4", carried out campaigns of apology for fascism, denial of the shoah, incitement to racial hatred and anti-Semitism . In addition to this, the group dedicated itself to a constant paramilitary training activity, also attending training courses in hand-to-hand combat and in the use of firearms, both short and long, abroad.

At the end of the investigation, the four people responsible for having formed, organised, promoted and financed the group ended up in prison for the crime of association for the purpose of terrorism or subversion of the democratic order. A fifth person was instead arrested on charges of propaganda and instigation to commit crimes on the grounds of racial, ethnic and religious discrimination.

At the same time, 26 personal, home and computer searches were also carried out, against other people, in the provinces of Naples, Avellino, Caserta, Milan, Turin, Palermo, Ragusa, Treviso, Verona, Salerno, Potenza, Cosenza, Crotone. Today's searches follow the 30 already carried out in May and October 2021 and allowed the collection of propaganda material, bullets, soft air weapons, tactical clothing and other important circumstantial elements.
