$25 million is nothing to a company that size. Which is why they didn’t care about breaking the law. Facebook, and Twitter (at least prior to Musk taking it over) primarily existed to accrue power and control information, not to make money.

Facebook didn’t like the law so they simply decided they’d ignore it. Why? Because they can afford the fine.

Start sending executives to jail instead of levying fines and maybe this stuff will stop.

"If the punishment for breaking a law is a fine, then that law only applies to poor people." - Final Fantasy Tactics 1997.

This game was ahead of its time!
