Back then the 30k was for panels, hardware and 6 battery's. My upgrades was all new everything, 24V Solar System: 2.4kW Inverter, 2kW Solar Array, MPPT and 60A Charger $1500. My Neighbor spends about $200 a month on his electric bill so that would be say 8 months to pay off $1500. It's worth it to switching over but ues the investment will hurt.

If ever I become a homeowner, it will be an investment of interest, but it would take time to be financially capable.

I hope you do become a homeowner, first lessen is save your penny's. Took me some time to save up for my solar system, then I started saving again knowing technology would advance. Side note, after I bought my server rack battery a new and much better one come out.
