This is the result corruption...

Michigan is still swimming in the $100's of millions in federal funds that flooded it since Flint Michigan's epic failure and the many Covid funds for water infrastructure.

It looks like instead of fixing infrastructure anywhere else but cash-cow-Flint....they simply used the other infrastructure funds to buy votes by paying people's utility bills.

Let's face it. Detroit is full of un- and under- employed people. Mostly nigras. It's like Haiti only smaller. The government has no interest in helping poor people especially when they are nigras. Even in a blue lefty liberal shithole city like Detroit.

Detroit had a brief period in the mid to late '90s and early '00s when it was poised to undo a lot of the problems it'd been working under for close to 30 years prior. Lots of (re)development going on, especially in areas that were traditionally ignored, existing businesses were expanding and new ones were coming in, and they were even putting in work on overhauling the decayed public education system.

And then, I don't know, the wheels just... came off, seemingly overnight. I mean, yeah, it did happen at the same time that the rest of the country was getting slapped around by a combination of insane gas prices, bursting housing bubbles (and perfidious banks mooching up to the government for their executive bailouts), and whatnot. But it always felt to me like Detroit got hit just a little bit harder, and all of the energy got sucked out of everyone.

Nigra city rot takes a few years to become apparent.
