it does not matter if you are climate friendly or what ever you are or are not.

the simple truth is that the earth is sick and she is dying.

we are running out of fresh water and that is probably the biggest problem that we can face.

Fresh water loss, biodiversity loss, ocean acidification, the arctic warming exponentially faster than the temperate zones, microplastics and PFAS endemic in the water cycle...

It ain't just the water. It's death by a thousand cuts, and she won't even make it to 10.

50% of the world's pollution is emitted by 10% of the global elite

Correction: 100% of world pollution is caused by the internet.

I am an internet cop.

I wasn't joking or exaggerating:

https://ourworld.unu.edu/en/the-worlds-richest-people-also-emit-the-most-carbon

British charity Oxfam released a study that found the richest 10 percent of people produce half of the planet’s individual-consumption-based fossil fuel emissions

Not that surprising considering ppl like Taylor Swift are polluting 1000 times more than the average person or that Nancy Pelosi needs $90 M worth of jets flying alongside her private plane for a useless trip around the world.

I think targetting the emissions of an individual is more or less pointless.

First step is to eliminate fossil fuels from the power grid. The second step is to eliminate them from transportation.

DiCaprio's work is a net gain. And he's chucked a fair bit of money into preserving biodiversity.

No. The rich are the biggest polluters and each one pollutes and creates more carbon dioxide than hundreds of average families. If they were to charge their ways it would indeed make a huge difference. But they don't want to do that. They would prefer hundreds of families are forced to eat bugs while their keep flying in their private jet.

Yep.

As you point out, the average US resident emits 100 times that of the average Lesotho resident. If they were all to change their ways it would make a difference. But they don't want to do that. They would prefer millions of people die in drought.

But if you clean the power generation and transportation, it wouldn't matter what they prefer. They would reduce their emissions just by living normally.

All this climate change crap does is make the elites richer, the plebs poorer and the middle class non-existent. As far as Leonardo DiCaprio is concerned, we're just a bunch of retarded plebs who must obey him and his ilk.

sure the climate is changing. at one time, there was 5 meters of ice right where i am sitting. the climate will always be changing.
