Never take a DNA test. It will be used against you and your family.

I'm okay with this, so long as the police requested the DNA of a particular child investigating a particular crime.

There's much less reliable ways to identify a criminal than DNA.

It's a broad scanning of all the DNA samples in the population that may come up with problems relating to unfortunate coincidences.

It should require a search warrant. But realistically they will use it any way they want to protect themselves from you and never to protect you from others.
