How can we help but remember Ayn Rand's final image in Atlas Shrugged: the power going out in NYC? These kind of breakdowns are signs of a society in collapse. One or two can be ignored as anomalies, but we are way beyond one or two at this point. The network of connections we call "society" is falling apart. Until the current ruling class (including millions of people) is thoroughly exposed and rejected, events like this one will be every day more frequent.
