When you switch from high admissions standards to random admission standards, you end up with a worse batch of students. if this were an elite school, filled with smart people, they could have predicted this outcome.

It's the "elite smart people" who are pushing nonsense like this

If schools stop educating the best students, the elites will have less competition for jobs that actually require smarts. That's until the random selection process hits the jobs market too.

Nah. Elites really believe that they can fix every problem if only someone gave them more power. They really do believe dumbing down kids is helping them. It's that old addage, the road to hell is paved with good intentions

the road to hell is paved with good intentions

Are you sure about the good intentions in this case?

Yes. The most evil I've seen in my life has come from people who try to do good

Those who pushed the lottery system assumed that the students who won the lottery would become elite students because reasons/magic, even if the kids only had a 2nd grade reading level.

It's because non-inclusion and non-diversity were the only things keeping them from being elite. Talent and hard work are white-supremacist concepts.

Who would have guessed that an individual's dedication to excellence in the past might be an indication of their continued dedication to excellence going forward?

Not the SJWs, because their entire ideology is a coping mechanism for their lifelong inability to achieve.

Lottery system admits bad students.

I do think there should be some kind of small-scale lottery, in order to promote diversity (not just in the liberal sense).

Too bad affirmative action doesn't work.
