They are blockbuster by mail trying to compete with Netflix. That is not where they want to be. They merely bought a tiny share In the market. They want to shut that down and get back to making the real money in tobacco. You are a fool if you can't see that.

Vaping nicotine is tobacco.
There's zero evidence that tobacco companies want to shut vaping down. Rather they are pouring millions into advertising it.

It is not the same. It is a lot safer and the market is not controlled by the same established players. This ban IS proof that they are using thier assets in government to attack vaping.
