Not that I condone the shootings, but finally there's a target I can understand. The pain management situation is fucked up and has been for years now. Maybe this will bring the attention it needs.

I think it's just as likely this guy was a drug addict visiting different docs to get prescriptions.

Murder suicide seems counterproductive to getting a fix. I'm pretty sure I could cold cop heroin, well the fent laced garbage passing for H these days, in a few hours if I were desperate. I have considered it. Ironically, if he had said he was a junkie, he could have gotten Suboxone for the pain. Have considered that too. The first seems too much like a death sentence, and the second labels you as a junkie in your medical history forever.

What he can't get, as I am assuming a non-drug user, is pain management. Maybe I just want it to be. I hope people pay attention. Junkies are dying faster than ever, keeping pain meds away from legitimate patients doesn't have much to do with addicts scoring drugs on the streets.

Having a read it seems like he was more angry about the back surgery being fucked up than the meds.

Most back pain should not be operated on but most surgeons only see things from their narrow perspective and don't research outside their field.

Most back pain is psychological. Mine literally never kicks off until I finish a job, then it disables me for a week when I should have my freedom. So annoying.

The there's a whole lot of people with chronic back pain who actually have an infection and can be cured with antibiotics but get sent for surgery instead.

I'll bet that doctor wishes he had listened to the guy.

That makes it a little more understandable.

I need to bring up how crazy this is next time I see my doctor in Oklahoma about back pain.
