Vangelis deeming the world of commercial pop “very boring”

He was not wrong.

Vangelis was much more than Blade Runner soundtrack. Of course who could expect any better from The Guardian. RIP Vangelis.

Who lets the weird kids, whose parents wouldn't allow a TV in the house, write entertainment news?

They have all only seen 10 films and The Wire.

Indeed, he was a member of Aphrodite's Child, and one of his first groups, Forminx, was also very popular during the 60s, and also collaborated with Jon Anderson, among many other things.

These pages contain photos and videos from the Forminx period:

I really enjoyed his music over the years. He got me into the synthy Blade Runner style stuff, he did a great soundtrack for Mutiny on the Bounty as well. obviously many more but these are the ones that stood out for me. Sad to hear that he died.

Chariots of Fire was a stupid ass movie and awful song.
