“Wrongly” makes it sound like it could have been a mistake. This guy was intentionally preying on and prescribing it to troubled children over the internet based solely on them filling out a questionnaire.

He still is. He just moved the company abroad (they all still live in the UK though) and carried on diagnosing online.

I'm only confused as to how what he is doing is different from what so many other physicians are doing. Why are these cases different than the many children who are "succeeding" with their self-mutilations? The God complex these "physicians" are afflicted with is disgusting.
