I heard that homes have burned. The fires continue to spread and are not contained.

Shame, those poor people. Containing these fires is kinda what got us into this whole mess in the first place though. Maybe they should evacuate all the people and let nature fix itself instead of trying to contain it.

I appreciate your concern for the people. I think droughts are causing many problems for Americans in multiple states. For New Mexico, I read they had monsoon rains which led to much vegetation growth, then the drought resumed, and the vegetation dried up and became flammable fuel for the wildfires. And at least one of the fires was deliberately started, called a "controlled burn", which is now out of control.
