The moon turned the color of blood?

Now the sun has to turn black.

If the stars go out of place from our POV it sounds like we would have been knocked out of orbit by an asteroid or something.

Yeah it was pretty cool, although my view of it was rather less spectacular.

NASA's images always have the saturation increased by copious amounts.

Yes, before the great and terrible day of the Lord, the sun will turn into darkness.

An invasion of other worldlies filling the sky with their aircraft and spacecraft could accomplish that: blocking the sun. Few people would be able to keep their faith in Jesus at that time, even though he is the one that warned us of these things.

And yes, I have also heard the prophecies of the earth's orbit changing.

Solar eclipses happen all the time. If anything the sun is getting way too bright and hot, it's blinding fluorescent neon white even when you're not looking at it and makes the world lose its color saturation, and makes everything feel like a desert that's also a radioactive nuclear fallout zone. I'm pretty sure that wasn't always the case.
