I feel I have only bailed from the giant Reddit to a miniature Reddit with a different name.

In what way?

You say you're a conservative yet call others Russian bots? And you try to discourage others from voting R? Weird.

Why don't you make arguments instead of just bitching in others' threads? What argument would you like to make for or against this topic? You realize ad hominem attacks (like you're doing now) are violation of Saidit TOS? We follow the Pyramid of Debate here.

I've been a conservative since I voted for Reagan. Actually before that but younger people know Reagan so I mention him. But the party is changing and the entire political issue is worsening. I voted for Trump with my nose pinched and I will never make this mistake again. After Jan 6 the man belongs in prison butt presidents, even past presidents, do not go to jail as what it would do to the integrity of this country in the eyes of other countries. Reference your article I've seen these arguments with plenty of others countering and saying "not true." Just a never ending regurgitation of garbage on the internet anymore. Will this site make it or fizzle out? Don't know but was hoping for more of the "fun" stuff that was at least on Reddit. So far it is looking more and more like a conspiracy theory gathering point. (Not saying yours is or that you are.)

You know, for a Reagan conservative, you sure sound like the group of paid posters on this site who try to convince others not to post. They're always saying Saidit is going down the tubes. It's what they're trained to do, it's an invocation of the bandwagon effect.

was hoping for more of the "fun" stuff that was at least on Reddit.

So you don't like Reddit but you want more Reddit?

You're arguing against yourself - and losing.

Never said I wanted more Reddit. I did enjoy the Photography, my state specific and so on. I started off on the Conservative sub but quickly learned I was not extreme enough for them. I tried Politics as well and realized it you have anything even slightly right of center your butt was voted down. So I bailed on them and tried to still with the more fun pages but even some of them got pretty bad. And I have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to paid posters. I found this Forum in hopes it would be one worth perusing. In some cases it has been. In others I found one of the Reddit Misogynist clowns who hate all women. My guess there is no perfect forum. For me that is.

And I have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to paid posters.

Well, now you know. And if you ever deny or are ignorant to "paid posters" in the future, we'll know you're just another astroturf. If you blindly side with mainstream fake news without doing an investigation into both sides of the story, we'll know you're just another astroturf.

Google is already helping the government write, and rewrite, history. Here, from its transparency report, are some stats on the amount of information it has either given to the government or wiped from the web based on requests by U.S. agencies

However, papers leaked by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden indicate that US and British intelligence agencies have been deeply engaged in planning ways to covertly use social media for purposes of propaganda and deception. They included a unit engaged in “discrediting” the agency’s enemies with false information spread online.

How Covert Agents Infiltrate the Internet to Manipulate, Deceive, and Destroy Reputations

https://www.reddit.com/r/Blackout2015/comments/4ylml3/reddit_has_removed_their_blog_post_identifying/

Reddit has removed their blog post identifying Eglin Air Force Base as the most reddit-addicted "city" - Eglin is often cited as the source of some government social-media propaganda/astroturfing programs

Not to mention, in terms of vaccinations, this is a scientific study by MIT published in a respected academic journal. It's on the front page of Saidit currently.

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-10928-z

the findings raise concerns regarding vaccine-induced undetected severe cardiovascular side-effects and underscore the already established causal relationship between vaccines and myocarditis, a frequent cause of unexpected cardiac arrest in young individuals.

conspiracy

I wish this stuff was a conspiracy. Unanticipated side effects were to be expected from the vaccine, despite what was said. That's just the nature of these things.

This isn't the first time the pharmaceutical industry has used people for profit without regard to their health. Cox-2 inhibitors like Vioxx were a notable example, it's estimated they killed half a million people. The antidepressant scandal hasn't even broken yet. Although it's pretty apparent these drugs never really worked and have some terrible side effects. The chemical imbalance theory, a disproven theory from the 1950s, is still bandied around as fact, even though the drugs manipulate brain chemicals in different ways but all have the same general effect.

And obviously everyone knows part of the story about opiates.

voted for Reagan

Fuck off, boomer.

There's the Reddit side I came to know and despise. I see you're just a racist and very ignorant person so I'll leave you to your wallow in your own filth.

    Resisters,

    Let us discuss:
    - What is it that we hope to achieve?
    - Are we doing things that need to be done?
Or, are we just wasting our time & efforts?

Outlined here are some possibilities and their implications for review & discussion
