Make people dependant on the state.
Then they are dependent of whatever party will keep paying basic income.
People working won't want to keep putting the hours in to support those who won't.
People stop working. They buy less. Businesses close.
The state can't afford the payments, they have to be scrapped.
Most people have no jobs or skills.
They become destitute.
