She's not an "insta-journalist". She's a respected writer who makes contributions to major New York publications. They have a very closed ecosystem and don't let just anyone in. She's not dumb as dirt, either, she has an elite education.

I suppose we should stop being shocked by now that these people are just horrible human beings. We've seen them do so much, from cover for pedophiles to allowing children to be raped to lying to defend the powerful.
