If you truly cared about her then you would respect her right to live how she wants to live.

I do, I personally don't care what other people do when it doesn't violate anyone else's rights. I do not desire to stop people from becoming trans if they desire, nor do I want to limit their rights in any way. They should be free to live how they want.

However, I generally agree with what NoMorePatriarchy is saying here regarding forcing other people to use language and pronouns that conform to someone else's ideas about gender. I have no problem tolerating this, but demanding I use made-up nonsense pronouns like 'they' or 'zhe' starts becoming totalitarian. I am even willing to be respectful and not use the 'wrong' pronouns, (I tend to not use pronouns at all, and just use the name in these situations) but a sex change does not make anyone a woman in my eyes (I wouldn't have sex with one, and that should not make me a bigot).

I agree. For me generally speaking, freedom of speech is paramount. The speaker has a right to use the pronouns that expresses their thoughts. If the speaker wants to express respect for how a person lives their life then they will try to use a pronoun that matches. But if they have other thoughts they want to express then a different pronoun might be better suited. It's up to the speaker to decide how they want to express themselves. Every person has the right to freedom of speech.
